CLOSING DOWN N.Z. BUSINESS (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, Dec. 17. The well-known cable firm of Reuters Ltd. is closing down its business in New Zealand. When approached for an explanation of his firm’s retirement, the manager of Reuters at Auckland, Air L. R. Bracketing. said lie knew nothing -beyond the fact that the firm was closing down its private cable business throughout the Dominion. Air Brackenrig has been connected with Pouters for over 25 years, and in that- time has seen the price ol cabling come down from several shillings per word to the present price, which, while it is 8s a word full rate, includes cheaper rates down to as low as 7pi a word at the week-end.
