Dr Hayes '(.Medical Snpt. said he was present, when complainants evidence, was given at the hospital and was of the opinion that compiainanl was ahle to give rational testimony, lie said the complainant wa.s troublesome, bill, not violent. If was a common thing lor patients'to make complaints against warders and all wore investigated. Dr Stout considered that complainant’s injuries were very severe. The injuries were consistent with eoinplainlanl being kicked. Aeeiised pleaded not guilty. Hail was allowed. ■

His sudden death is believed to have boon due to a seizure of the heart. FELL FROM MAST. RADIO STATION TRAGEDY. WELLINGTON, December ID. The 2YA wireless station on Mount Victoria was the scene of a (fatality to-night, when Melville Wood, aged IS. who resided with his parents at 58 Eoscnenth Terrace, Fell From the top of one of the wireless masts, the distance being about lot) Feet. It is understood that the youth Fell just as he had climbed to the top. Death was instantaneous, his neck having been broken. There was a very high wind blowing while he was climbing the mast. An inquest will he held.
