In order to show I am as good a sportsman as you. I’ll bet you two hats Lo one we beat MacDonald and Lloyd George, put gether.”Lord Rothermere has not replied, hut made the. statement: “Hicks is only talking through his hat. lie knows the Conservatives have not tho remotest ettanee. They are whistling to keep up their courage, hut deceive no one.” Late to-night Lady Houston entered the comedy, and threatens lo take all the spotlight. She asked Lord Rolhcrmere whether lie will offer her in thousands, the same odds as lie ode red Sir Joynson llieks.
