MUSSOLINI
ITALY’S DESIRES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). ROME, Dec. 9. Mussolini, in a speech at the final session of Parliament,, said:— “Wo want ]M>ace. We signed the Kellogg Pact and are ready to sign any other pacts, but at the same time we do not want to commit a crime against any nation. We must face reality which is that the world" is arming. We do not want to disturb the European equilibrium, hut we must ho ready. Nolhklv, therefore, ought to lie astonished if T call on the nation for another sacrifice enabling the perfection of all our forces o;i sea, land and air. Even our adversaries have admitted that Fascist Italy’s foreign policy is logical and pacific. The period of transitory partnerships has ended. Wo must be most careful before extending our friendship to anyone, but when there is a. pact, the people should know that cither in friendship or the reverse, we go on to the end.”
