A DEATH MYSTERY. Australian Press A isn.—United Service SYDNEY, Dec. 10. Mystery surrounds the death of Edward Leach, aged forty-three, who was found lying on a heap of coke in the backyard of his home at Annandale. A doctor was called, hut Leach died before his arrival. Deceased had a large; wound in the forehead and several other wounds on the hack of the head. The doctor declined to give a death certificate. The police are making enquiries and a post mortem examination lias been ordered. SUDDEN DEATH. MELBOURNE, Dec. 10. While playing an excerpt from “Messiah” at the Church of England, St. Hilda, the organist, Henry Inge, collapsed and died. He was a relative of Dean Inge. PEACE IN INDUSTRY. MELBOURNE, Dec. 10. 'flic Industrial Peace Conference decided to take steps to preserve peace in all industries, pending the reassembling of the conference which will probably ho in February next. TYHPOID EPIDEMIC. BRISBANE, Dec. 10. A typhoid epidemic at Cloncurry is fieri;ous. Nearly every home is affected. Two deaths occurred, and other patients are in the hospital in a serious condition. The heat is unbearable and rain is badly needed. Influenza has broken out in Cliarlesville and Ada vale districts.
