Three ears were involved in a- moloi collision which occurred between the racer sc and To Kniti at 5.4 a last niolii A car driven by F. E. A\ cst (Tallin:, n.i.ui) struck one driven by Joe Hoe. when attempting to pass. Hoe’s ~;,r was thrown off the road and Wests mrn.-k anotlier head on. coming m the opposite direction, driven by !»»<’* Jones. Four occupants of AVests car sustained injuries. Sam Sarah (Taumaranni) received sever injuries to the head and other minor injuries and shook. . Cecil A. Boles (Taumaranni), injuries l <( head and face, cuts about the head end arms, and shock. _ . Fsme Henderson (Te Kniti), injured shoulder hone, minor injuries and shock. , Jim Vujich, severe cuts on head ami right arm, and shock. West received had cuts on the light arm from broken glass. Reports show this morning that all the injured arc making satisfactory progress. West’s and Tunes .Tones’ cars wero ■badly damaged. All bad a remarkable escape.
