Five Corsicans have been arrested if or the murder of a bank messenger (cabled on 22nd November). One, it is alleged, lias confessed. Another of those arrested, stood as a candidate at flu- last elections of the Chamber of Deputies.
CAPETOWN FLOOD DAMAGE. CAPETOWN, November 26. A coast storm was presaged by a terrific downpour in Eastern Cape. 'l'he damage in Riversdale district is £10,1)00. Houses were demolished and stock numhering two thousand drowned. Emit trees and crops were swept away. The mail steamer is nine hours late.

A PECULIAR MOVE. LONDON, November 2(5. The “Daily Express” reveals a strange plot by a newly-formed body (1 f Scottish Nationalists to raid Westminster Abbey and forcibly remove the Stone of Destiny from the Coronation Chair and deposit it with the Lord Provost of Perth. The project is not a practical joke but is discussed in the most serious manner, the object being to show that the Scottish Nationalists mean business.
