BYRD’S SECOND SHIP

WELLINGTON, November 19
It has definitely hern decided by Commander Byrd Unit his second ship. City of New York, will go direct to Dunedin, and will not call at Wellington. This arrangement is necessary to allow the expedition to leave New Zealand for the Antarctic as close t-a the schedule as possible.
Commander Byrd and other members of the expedition at present in M el!i•;,j.ton will leave for Dunedin at the end of this week.
/axe GBEY’S PARTY ARRIVES. WELLINGTON, November 19.
Amongst tbe first oversea visitors of (lie fishing season to arrive in the Dominion are Rumor Grey and Robert Ganiev, the advance guard ol _/ano Grey’s party, bv the Maunganui this morning. Zane Grey will come on the 11( ,xt ship. He has boon fishing at Papeete for months without outstanding features. His success was not altogether what he anticipated, and Inis'looking forward to real deep-son fishing off New Zealand. On arrival lie will .r,v direct In Mercury Bay. Homer ~1 )(| his companion me going south for six weeks for Atlantic salmon and brown trout fishing, and will f*M> the To Auau and Tour ILvcrs. I hey do not. expect to go further north Gian Hie Pomakaka River.
