MEMORIAL ON TOWER MILL

The memorial erected on Tower Mill. London, by all the Governments df the Empire through the Empire War Graves Commission is nearing completion. The memorial commemorates the names oi 12,000 officers and men of the merchant navy and fishing fleets who lost their lives at sea through enemy action, and have no grave but the sea.
It is hoped that the Queen will unveil this memorial on December 12th. The memorial has been designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and is the counterpart to those erected by the Imperial War (traces Commission at Chatham. Portsmouth, and Plymouth to the missing of the Royal Navy, and to .Menin Cate and other memorials erected on the hat i Infields abroad.
