The engine of Darcy Griegs seaplane has been altered to enable four thousand revolutions per minute to he' attained, thus obtaining a possible speed of seven miles per minute in the preliminary dive before entering the measured straight course.

FLYING RECORD. LONDON. Nov. 4
Darcy Greig achieved an unofficial world’s seaplane record of 350 miles an hour compared with Bornhardi’s 318). Announcing himself satisfied with the preliminary tests, he applied to the Air Ministry for permission to attempt the record officially which was granted. Greig will make the attempt to-day if the conditions remain favourable.
