STEAMER FOUNDERS
NO SIGN OF CREW

BOSTON, October 24
The steamer, West Carnifax, which has arrived here from- Alexandria, fears the American tanker, David C. Reid, with forty-eight of a crew, foundered pear the Azores in a gale on Octobei 15th. Following a call, the Carnifax found only oil for miles and vegetable boxes at-the position given. The David C. Reid was bound from Samarang (Java) for Philadelphia.
