FIREMAN KILLED

ESCAPE OF OIL BURNS. (Received this day at 11 a.m.) (United Press Association —By Electric k Telegraph—Copy v i ght). VANCOUVER. October 18.' \y. T. Tennison, a fireman on the Blue Star liner Trojan Star, was killed and six were badly burned and two gassed, as the result of oil leaking ifrom a feed pipe and catching fire. The men were trapped in a blazing stokehold. Two braved the flames and won through, while five others dived headlong into the bilges and escaped. Tne vessel was saved when the main steam pipe burst, smothering the fire.
