THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.
Phomising Wool, Season. Reports are to the effect tliat stocks ill Bradford arc light and strongly held, and the opening of the sales in Australia in the course of a few weeks should give a lead as to the trend of the market. Last season it was clear that there was a demand for the classes of 'wool produced in the Dominion, and the splendid clearances effected meant that the new clip would arrive to practically empty .stores. There seems to he a strong opinion that the wool market will he stable on a level that should Ire satisfactory to producers, and that is what is most to be desired. The best to be hoped is that these optimistic views will be borne out by the facts. —Lyttelton Times.
