CHRISTCHURCH, June 27. At Addington stock sale there was i good entry and prices were well naintained.

Beef.—The yarding was 620 fat cattle of mixed quality. There was a heavy entry of steers, beef cows and heifers. The market was easier. Unfinished steers were hard to quit. Heavy steers sold at £l7 to £2O 17s Cd, prime £l4 to £l6 10s, medium 810 15s to -£2O 10s, rough £8 to £lO

Best cows fetched £ll 10s to £l4. prime £8 5s to £9 10s, medium 65s to £7 10s, others £4 5s to £5 ss. Store Sheen and Lambs—There was a larger entry than last week. Prices were well maintained. Halfbred ewe lambs sold at 30s to 375, long wool lambs 22s to 26s 6d, wether lambs 14s to 265. culls 6s to 14s. There was a larger entry of adult sheep. Old ewes fetched 12s to 245, better ewes 25s to 40s, wethers 27s to 36s 6d.

Mutton —There was an increased yarding, of which a large percentage was heavy weight and well finished sheep. There was a better sale consequently, on account of such goo'd quality of the yarding. For backward sorts the demand was irregular. Extra heavy wethers fetched 43s to 49s lfkl, heavy 38s to 46s 6d, medium 33s to 33s Gd. light 28s to 325, extra heavyewes 40s to 42s 10(1, heavy 37s to 395, medium 31s to 365, light 24s 6d to 30s. Fat Lambs—There was a sligh'tly larser yarding, chiefly of plain and unfinished lots. There was the keenest of competition for prime quality n.t'the best of last week’s rates. Heavy nrime lambs sold at 39s to 435, prime freezers 34s Gd to 38s, medium freezers 3ds to 345, light freezers 26s Gd to 30s, unfinished lots 23s to 265, medium unfinished 18s to 235, and large to 295.

Fat Pigs—There was a fairly large yarding of bacon and pork. The quality- was much better than last week. Competition was keen. Choppers sold •<1 .£2 4s to £6 18s, small porkers £1 10s to £2, medium £2 Is to £2 10s. heavy £3: light baconers £3 3s to eq p2s medium £3 15s to £4 ss, heavy to £5 7s 6d. The average price was 6pi per pound. Store Pigs—There was a small yarding The nr ice whs slightly better. Slips fetched 9s to 13s, small stores 13s to 16s. -
