CHINESE TROUBLE
CHINESE TRAGEDY. TRAINLOAD OF DEAD. Australian Press Assn.—United Service (Received this-day at 10.15 a.m.l SHANGHAI, Juno 26. An- extraordinary tragedy was discovered at Tientsin railway station, on arrival of a troop train from Shantung. The carriages were heaped' with dead and dying soldiers, including White Russians, a former bodyguard of Shantung Governor Chang-Chung-Chang. They were attacked by Chinese armoured car corps en route, who were angry because their salaries wore unpaid. Even the Commander was not spared. The drivers declared they were unaware the massacre was occurring. Tho train arrived virtually a coffin on wheels. There was only a. handful of survivors, tho attackers and attacked suffering equally. *■
