Australian Pross Assn.—United Service (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.A PARTS, June 17. 'The Tour de France.cycle race started at 9 a.in. from Levesinet. They; are divided into two categories. Firstly : teams equipped by big firms; secondly, individual racers reduced to their own means. The grouped racers are divided into five teams,- namely: Alcyone, J. B. Lou vet. Alleluia, Ravat and Foiitan. Individual racers are either isolated or from nine provincial groups. The tour de France is now divided into twenty-two stages of lai miles daily, with several teams. The course follows the coast line of the North Sea, Channel. Atlantic and Mcditeranenn, .frontiers of Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Luxemburg, and Belgium, a total of 3360 miles, divided into three distinct sections. The total starters are 169.
