LEAGUE CAPTAIN ORDERED OFF
BRISBANE, June 18
A crowd of 25,000 witnessed tiie English League footballers defeat by Queensland. The first half was fairly evenly contested, but the Queenslanders’ centre retired with a hurt arm. Brinster’filled the gap. In a momentary indecision regarding a pass Fairelmtgh seized the opportunity and scored cleverly and brought England within three points of the Queenslanders. Shortly afterwards Burgess who was captaining tlie Englishmen in Parkins absence, was ordered off, after being cautioned earlier. Towards the dose Sellars (Queensland) also was ordered off. The game latterly was marred by a good deal of roughness. Though the Englishmen made good defence, Queensland had things much their own way.
