GOLFING.
The usual inter-club match between Hokitika and Greymouth was played ion the Muhinapua Links yesterday under perfect weather conditions. The morning’s play ended in favour of Hokitika by a substantial margin, but the home team crashed badly in the afternoon and the day’s play ended in favour of Greymouth by 15 games to 12, Greymouth also won the Seddon Challenge Cup played for in conjunction with the above match, the actual results being Greymouth 11 to Hokitika (holder) 10. Detailed results as follows, Hokitika players being mentioned first:— - Men.—Chesney lost to Meldrum 3 and 1. ■Nevillo beat Wallis 2 and 1. .'Spencer beat Wild 6 and 4. Partridge beat Kettle 5 and 4. O’Doherty beat F. W. Sha Her ass 2 up. Wilson lost to Revel I 4 and 3. Adamson boat G. F. Shallcrass 3 and 2. Cagney beat MeKeclmio 4 and 2. Williams-lost to Fletcher 4 and 2.
