GERMAN ELECTIONS
(United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.)
GFRAIAN COALITION PREDICTED LONDON. Alay 22.
A Berlin message reports that it is, stated senii-officially that the Cabinet intends to postpone its resignation until the new Reichstag meets, about June 12th. The Nationalists are aghast at their debacle and are lamenting the bourgeois disunion.
It is realised that the elections represent a pronounced swing to tlie Lett, but there is equal disunity between the Labourites and Communists, the Communists being sworn enemies of Socialist “traitors." The increase in the Communist vote is most disquieting, as 3.200,000 electors have proclaimed their obedience to .Moscow.
The “Aforning Post’s" Berlin correspondent- states: It is indeed lortuttiite that the Socialists are not strong enough to form a coalition without the People’s Party, as they might have been unable to icsist the replacement of Dr Stresenianii as Foreign Minister. The only possible majority seems to be a grand coalition consisting of Iho People's Party, tiie Centre Party, the Democrats and the Socialists.
