BOWLING.
TOURNAMENT OPENS. (By Telegraph—l'er Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Jan. 10. The fifteenth Dominion Championship Bowling Tournament opened this morning and will continue until Saturday, January 21st. About five hundred bowlers will take part,' nearly half of these being from other parts of New Zealand. The tournament was officially opened by Mr A. J. Benzie, President of the Association, and the DeputyMayor, Mr 1). G. Sullivan, at the Canterbury (headquarters) • green. Singles play was commenced and will continue to-morrow. The weather conditions are ideal.
