The dates of the principal events of the English cricket team’s tour in Australia are:— October 1711 1 to 20th, versus West Australia at Perth. October 2(ith to 30th. versus South Australia at Adelaide. November 2nd to (sth, versus Victoria at Melbourne. November 9th to 13th. versus New South Wales at Sydney. November lOtlt to 20th. versus Australian Eleven at Sydney. November 24th to 28th. versus Queensland at Brisbane.
November 30th to December 6th. first tesj at Brisbane. December I lilt to 20th. second test at Sydney. December 29th to January 4th. third test at Melbourne. January 12th to 15th, versus Tasmania at Launceston. January 17till to 19th. versus Pasmania at Hobart. January 25th to January 29th, versus South Australia at Adelaide. February Ist to 7th. fourth test at Adelaide. February 15th to 19th, versus’ Now South AVtiles at Sydney. March Ist to sth, versus Victoria at Melbourne. March Bth to 14th, fifth test at Afeiliournc.

M.C.C. ON TOUR. MELBOURNE, Dee. 30. U the Board of Control, for International Cricket meeting, attention was jrivon to eorrespondenee from the Ma.rylebone Cricket Club and the New Zealand Cricket Council, regarding the proposal that the English team should plav two matches in New Zealand at the end of the 1928-29 tour. The Board decided, it could not consider any suggestions that would involve the curtailment of the Australian programme. No provision is made for u visit to New Zealand in the itinerary, which shows the team will commence the tour with a match against West Australian colts at Perth on October 13th.. visit all the States and conclude the tour at Perth on March 28th.
The Board adhered to the decision to play the test at Brisbane, .taking one away from Sydney, despite the New South Wales strong protest. To the test matches 6-ball overs will be reverted to, but in other matches the overs will consist of eight halls. The Board decided that the New Zealand tour commence immediately after the match between Victoria and Queensland, which is timed to end not later than Bth. February. V'. Richardson has been selected captain of the team to four New Zealand.
