CASTLES IN THE AIR
(.Sydney Herald.) We Iniild our shining castle in the air, On piling clouds, all whito and gleaming pink; Raise it on high with hopes of things to be, And all the golden deeds of which we think. I’heii from the highest - turret in its walls, Hang out a silken banner blazoned “ Fame,” And all who pass along the road below Look up, and looking, shout aloud our name. We reach our castle by gleaming stairs. Fashioned from all the noble deeds we’ve clone; Lightly we speed on to the heights above, To take our place with those win fame have won. And when the castle gates ale opened wide. And on we press to take our standing there, Our c-astle falls m ruins among the elonds; Our shining, far-off castle in the air D. BLACKLEY (aged 1(V).
