BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSN., COPYRIGHT. AVELLINGTON, Nov. 20. Rose beat Bayne in the three miles event, in 15 min 29 1-5 sec, and beat Priestly in the mile by two yards, in 4 min 29 4-5 see. Bayne dropped out when hojielessly out of it. Jenkins did 100 yards in 10 sec. Scouts cleared the bar set at 0 ft, but it was found that a handkerchief had lowered the liar in the centre to 5 ft 11J ins. O. B. Allen won the half-mile in 2 min, R. AA r . Lander beat F. S. Ramson by inches in the 120 hurdles, in 15 2-ssec. Ramson won the 440 yds in 51 4-5 sec. The following team is announced by the Selectors (Afessrs A. C. Kitto and J. Harrison) to represent AVellington at the New Zealand Championships at Christchurch on December 9th and 10th : C. Jenkins (100 and 220 yds), J. T. Fleming (100, 200 and 400 yds), F. S. Ramson (120 hurdles, 440 fiat, long jump), R. AA r . Lander (120 and 440 hurdles), C. B. Allan (440 and 880 yards), K. Priestly (880 yards and one mile), R. A. Rose and G. Bayne (one mile and three miles), G. J. Scouts (high jump), R. Alunro (throwing the javelin, throwing the discus, putting the shot, throwing the hammer), AV. Harvey (throwing the discus, throwing the hammer), A\ . Lundy (mile and three mile walk). C. Alillar and E. Sharp are also selected. For the cycling events Oakley and J. Carswell have been chosen, and one other cyclist is to l>e selected. Most of the team will go south on December 7th.
