A FATAL ACCIDENT

HENRY PUGH KILLED. A fatal accident happened at tlio Teremakau Sawmill this morning resulting in the death of Mr Henry' Pugh the sawmill manager. The deceased with two other men was engaged on the loading bank when he slipped, and a log went over him, inflicting fatal injuries. The deceased is married, being married to a daughter of the late Mrs Treacy, of Christchurch Road. Tlio mill is situated on the north bank of the Teremakau river opposite Neame’s, on the Christchurch road. An inquest is being held this afternoon, tlio body having been removed to the residence of the late Mrs Treaeey.
