The banking returns for the September quarter show that the community is still leaning oil the banks heavily, in fact, they owe the banks a million and a quarter more than they did a year ago. However the position shows a distinct improvement in the last three months. It is well known that our trade balance lias been adverse for some time now, as our exports receded in value while our imports kept on at a very high figure.
