Air James Paulliaus, President of the Montreal Chamber of Commerce, startled an audience with the declaration that, on the present birth rate, the French-Canadian population will greatly out-number the English-speak-ing Canadians berore 1950. To-day the French Canadians number four and a-haif millions, and they are increasing at a rate that will more than double their number in twenty years. -Most of them remain ill Canada,, while the English-speaking Canadians are setndily migrating to the United States.
