The newspaper “Boerson Courier” hints that the German dye trusts experiments in the distillation of synthetic oil fuel were so successful that the oil will be freely marketed in the present year, ft is understood already that three plants are ready, two of which have hitherto been kept strictly secret. VANCOUVER, Sept. 13. A telegram from Nogales (Arizona) states belated news has been received of serious cyclones and tidal waves which struck the west coast of Mexico lust Wednesday. It is stated a number of people were killed, hundreds injured and thousands are homeless. AN INQUEST. LONDON, Sept. 13. At the inquest on Dr Shield, his brother, Sir Douglas Shield, said the deceased’s brain suddenly gave out. He had taken no holiday since 1914 and persistently was over worked. He went without meals and at the week-end Trent to see patients. lie had no financial worry. A verdict of suicide while of .unsound mind was returned.
