The steamer Kyle, searching for Ohl Glory off Newfoundland, reports finding a wrecked plane hut no sign of her crew. NEW YORK. Sept. 42. The Daily Alirror. of which Payne is editor, received a radio message from the vessel it sent in search of Old Glory, reporting the finding of wreckage of an aeroplane about G-.O miles off Newfoundland. COLLISION IN CLOUDS. ROAIE, Sept. 12
Two aviators had a miraculous escape at Brescia. Flying in the clouds at a thousand feet, they suddenly collided head on, and fell interlocked to the aerodrome, where they burst in to flames. Fortunately four mechanics dragged, tho aviators clear of the burning planes. They received only minor injuries. CRASH OF BRITISH PLANE. ROAIE. Sept. 12. A, message from Venice states that Britain’s chance of winning the Schneider Cup was dealt a blow by the crashing of the Bristol Crusader, injuring the champion seaplane pilot Schofield. The monoplane sank, am! it is believed it is so damaged Unit Britain will have to rely on a. f-uper-marine Napier and GVoste-Nnpicr, both of secret design. Ihe latter today did 312 miles hourly. A PLANE FOB. NEW ZEALAND. LONDON. Sept. 12. Air T. Douglas Mill, a New Zealander. has brought an aeroplane, to take home. He will make his first long flight to Venice to witness the Schneider Cup, taking as a passenger Capt. Jsitt, of the Now Zealand Air Force.
