(Australian it N.Z. Cable Association.) WHEAT POUR. (Rec lived this day at 10.15 n.inA NEW YORK, April 3. The “World’s” Washington correspondent states the Department of Agriculture has announced the Administration's approval is given for the formation of a gigantic wheat pod, covering practically every wheat growing state in. the United States, to he headed by the former Governor, MeKelvie, of Nebraska. While this project i.s not entirely new. it in now actively pushed fur the first time, after full approbation of Secretary Jardine. The Nebraska wheat pool i-. taking active load in. bringing Texas, Oklahoma', Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Sakato arid Minnesota into tho orgnisation. It is asserted that Jardine realises tho wheat situation in United States is not on a par with Canada, and thought the pool would improve the general conditions and centralise marketing .facilities both for domestic and export trade. It is stated all the financing of the projects is obtained through intermediate credit banks. Efforts are now being made to have farmers sign a five year contract tt> deliver their wheat to the pool.

COUPLE -MISSING. LOS ANGELES, Sep.- 3. The police were informed to-day of the mysterious disappearance of Miami Mrs G. W. Parker, who last March left Melbourne with Mr and Sirs A. Aughtie for a world tour, and who were last seen at Williams, • Arizona, whither they had gone to see tho Grand Canyon. Both families came from South Melhotiriic. Railway officials state the Parkers had arrived at Los Angeles on August 29th, hut their whereabouts are unknown. The Aughties had searched the local hotels without fuming any trace of them.
