COURTNEY'S FRY. (Received this day at 8 a.in.) CORRUN.VA, Sept. 4. Courtney has landed owing to bad Weather. He proposes to resume his flight on Monday. He decided therefore to abandon the intention of going to Meres as lie could not have arrived there l efore nightfall. Hosmer said you should have seen the way she rocked and quivered in the gale. I don’t mind saying wo had anxious hours. AVe lost speed and dipped, hut fought with the wind shrieking past us. Finally after frequently checking the position and progress, the skipper shouted through the storm—“ Well, hoys can’t make it before dark.” So we turned and came hero.
