BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSN., COPYRIGHT. THE HOUSE. WELLINGTON, Aug. 20. The House met at 2.30 p.m,. The Newmarket Borough Council Vesting and Empowering Bill was introduced and read a first time. The Prime Minister moved the customary motion of condolence with the widow and family of the late Hon. It. F. Bollard, whose death occurred yesterday. Tributes to the high character of the deceased Minister were paid by members and representatives of all parties and the Prime Minister’s motion was agreed to in silence. At 3.30 p.m. the House rose till 2,30 p.m. on Tuesday next as a mark of respect to the memory of the deceased. The Legislative' Council passed a similar motion and also adjourned till Tuesday.
