FUNERAL. NEW PLYMOUTH, July 31. A very large number attended the funeral of the fate Mr Newton King, on Saturday, including Hon. 0. J. Hawken, Taranaki members of Parliament. and Sir Truby King (the brother of the deceased). The hearse was followed by a lorry piled high with wreaths. There were over two hundred ears in the procession. A MAN KILLED. WELLINGTON, Aug. 1. A middle aged man, Duncan MoLardy, was knocked down hy a car in Ken Terrace. His skull was fractured and he died in the hospital.
