AR AIICR A FAT STOCK SAL I'

Yesterday’s yarding at the above yards was notable for the heavy entry of cattle. 112 head being penned. Of this number fully 30 per cent was row beef and in consequence Hie market for this class of cattle was sticky from the opening of the sale, prices being easier than at the previous fixture. On the other hand prime ox beef wild quite equal to late rates, the range of prices varying from 32s lo 3 is. Heifer beef made from 29s to 32s fid.

Messrs M. Houston and Co. report— At the usual fortnightly sale at the above yards yesterday, our entry consisted of 100 fat sheep and 59 bead of fat cattle, which were submitted to the usual attendance ol buyers. There was good competition, especially lor all well finished lines of fat cattle at prices very much on a par with those of the previous sale. Best ox beef realized to 395. per hundred. medium 32s fid to .'lss. good boiler beef 30s to 345, and cow beef from 20s to 295. according to quality. Fat sheep also sold at satisfactory prices. We sole! as follows:—On account of Mr T. Staines HR fat wethers at 30s; 1 cow in profit at £3: on account of Mr H. X.
