Ihe Appeal Court to-day considered the Law Society v. Bullard filed an afladavit which did not oppose the application hut stated his deceased partner, E. H. Mann, had received large sums for which no proper Security was given. SAMOAN ARREST. AUCKLAND, July 12. Information has been received by Hon. O. E. Nelson that another high Chief of Samoa, when ordered lo leave certain territory in Samoa under the terms of the recent ordinance, declined, saying all Samoa was his terrtiory. He was sentenced to four months’ gaol, (barges against two chiefs previously arrested were discharged by the Court on a technicality.

Ernest Leslie Elvy, 30. was remanded at Auckland on a charge of having stolen £33 |os belonging to Ihe Government. 'The polite stated twenty additional charges were to he laid against accused, who is a raiiSvay servant. Full restitution lias been made.
