SYDNEY. June 4. The New South Wales Foursomes Golf Championship yesterday at Rose ]> av was marred hv a heavy shower of rain just as the play commenced, winch spoiled many scores. In the morning at the conclusion ot the first round. Duncan and Horton, with a fine card of 75, led by one stroke. However, weak putting m the afternoon spoilt their chance, ami they tied for fourth position with 15/. McLelland and Sydney Jones won with a card reading:—7o. (0—154. Hoare and Hntterslev were second with 155. . Ross and McFarlane (X.Z.) with 80, 77—162, ran 14th. Quin and IC.Duncan (X.Z.) were 28th Gardiner and Morrison (X.Z.) came 32nd. and Stiehbury and McPherson (X Z.) 22m1, while Seifert and Rumwnld (X.Z.) were 34th.
