[eT TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND. June 4. Glorious weather again prevailed for the second day of the Auckland R.C. Great Northern Afeeting. There was a large attendance. The course was still heavy. The totalisator handled £73,52?. compared with £89,799 on the second day last year. After the running of the Hunt Club Cup the Stewards held an inquiry into the running of Mem Sahib. After hearing evidence, it was decided to disqualify M. Wells, the owner for 12 months from date under Rule 1, Part 32. of the Rules of Racing, the Stewards being of opinion that the horse was not run to win. Ihc jockey, AY. Reid, was also disqualified for 12 months. This disqualification meant the elimination of AH AVells’ Wedding Afareli, the winner of the Great Northern Hurdles, and a popular fancy for the Steeplechase. Results:— Hunt Club Cup.—Pctidavies 1.
