Houses were undermined, live stock were drowned, and ricefields damaged by a cloudburst in the South-Eastern Section of Honolulu oil Monday.
U.S.A. MARINES KILLED. MEXICO CITY, May 16
Pedro Kepeda, the local representative of the Liberal Nicaraguan Government, said that on Monday evening he was advised that 17 United States Marines and 25 Nicaraguan Liberals were killed in a clash at Lapaz, in Nicaragua, when, lie said, the Marines attempted to disarm the Liberals, who later withdrew to the mountains, and were not pursued.
QUEBEC ELECTIONS,
LIBERAL SWEEP THE POLLS.

The Liberal Party of Quebec, who (have been in power in the Quebec Province for thirty years, since 1897. swept the Province at the election on Monday.
Tliev captured at least seventy-two seats out of a total of eighty-fi\e seats, compared with the sixty-seven seats held by them, at the dissolution. The Prime Minister, Mr Tasclierau, and the entire Cabinet, has been reelected.
The Conservatives censured the Ad-' ministration for not awarding special damages to the parents of victims ol the cinema disaster on January 9th.
