In spite of the wide diversity of views that have been expressed concerning the future of Anglo-American relations, the persistency of the discussion in both countries may he considered as an indication that the question is demanding attention. Silence could be interpreted only as indjfferenee, and although undue bitterness is shown by a certain section ol writers both in England and America, there is a weighty balance of fair and impartial discussion that augurs well for speedy and complete national understanding.
