Alt AH UR, A FAT STOCK SALE. M. Houston and Co. report At the above sale yesterday our entry consisted of 33 head of fat cattle. 03 fat sheep, 40 lambs, and 102 breeding ewes. Tile usual buyers were in attendance and prices realized for fat cattle were very much, on a par with those of the previous sale. Fat sheep and lambs sold well and there was y verv good competition for good breeding owes. AVe sold as follows: On account of R. Adamson, G 3 2tootli fat wethers at 245, 23 2-tooih Romney breeding ewes at 30s 3d; on account of Miss Cummings, 40 fat lambs at 20s, 1 f.m. Southdown ram at £3 3s, 1 fat ewe at 21s; on account, of T .Hunter, 53 2, 4 and (i-tooth breeding ewes at 26s 3d, 50 at 20s, 20 full mouth ewes at 17s 9d, 10 store wethers at 20s, 1 4-tooth Romney ram aL 3] guineas; on account of R. Roberts, 2 fat heifers at £7 15s, 2 at £7 12s fid, *? at £7 17s fid, 2 at £7 10s, 4 at £7 12s fid, 1 cow at ,£7, 1 heifer and 1 cow at £G 2s fid; on account of R. Yesterday's yarding at the above yards was somewhat smaller than usual hut ample for the competition forthcoming. Prices were not by any moans jus good as sellers expected but a total clearance was made. Alost vendors are prepared to accept the

ruling prices based on those obtained at Addington. The quality was good especially the entry of Mr D. A. Roberts the tops of his heifers making

£lO. Ox beef sole] from 30s to 32s 6d per hundred while heifer beef ranged from 27s to 30s. A small yarding of sheep and lambs made the ruling prices.
