RIFLE SHOOTING.
The Hokitika Miniature Rifle Club held a successful shoot last evening. Great interest was shown by members towards the two fine cups presented by the President, Mr I). .). There are a record number of"competitors in camp for. the fifth meeting of the Army Rifle Association, which opened to-day. The competitors number about 000. After a particularly fine spell of weather the skies have clouded over and the prospects for the meeting are not very favourable, light rain falling this morning. The main event to-day is the first section of the Army Championship, wmeh commenced shortly before nine o’clock
