[Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.} SUPPOSED MURDER.. (Received this day at. 3 a.m.) AI ELBOURXE, January 14. The body of a young woman who had been dead for some days was found partly buried among some bracken fern near Port Xowpen Road, near Frankston. The woman was apparently between twenty and thirty years of age. It is believed to bo a case of murder.
WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, January It. At the wool sales the market ruled firm at lately improved rates for all good wools, but irregularity was noticeable in broad stapled and doubtful yielding lines. Greasy merino sold to 32} d. CRICKET TOUR. AfELBOURNF. January 14. The executive of the Victorian Cricket Association considered the application of Melbourne Cricket Club for permission to send the team to New Zealand at the end, of the month. Tho executive expressed approval of the trip being made, but agreed that tho matter come under the jurisdiction of the Board of Control. Arrangements for the tour are held up pending the Board’s sanction being obtained.

Extremely hot weather continues to prevail, the temperature to-day reaching 110. One death is reported due to sunstroke.
