TUAPEKA COUNTY JUBLIEE. DUNEDIN, January 13. The Tuapeka County Jubilee was celebrated yesterday. The celebrations were characterised by great enthusiasm. The district has a unique history, covering the old gold rush days, when Gabriel’s Gully attracted thousands of gold seekers. In addition tt) representatives of all the local bodies in the district, there were present Sir James Allen and Hon G. J. Anderson. Alessrs J. Horn. J. McDickson, and F. AYaite, Al.P.’s. Among many presentations made to Air J. J. Woods, who lias been County Clerk for the last 50 years was a cheque for £SO. Air AVoods immediately decided to give the money to three hospitals in the County. As this sum carries a Government subsidy the hospitals will benefit to the extent! of £IOO. j
