Tommy Uren lost the middleweight championship of Australia to Billy Edwards, who knocked out the champion in the seventh round, with a heavy punch to the point of the chin. The winner forced the fighting before the knock-out and he had Uren three times to his knee. Edwards also inflicted a severe cut to Uren s eye. which t required five stitches. Tommy Uren fought well, but his blows- lacked weight.
