POWER ACCUSED' OF IMPOSTURE. [‘‘Sydney Sun” Cables.] LONDON, Aug. TB. The private display had caused consternation among the audience. One of Kitchener’s sisters declared it was an insult, to her brother’s memory. The press denounced it.
Gates said that Power knew the story was a fake, but he took over the film. The London County Council banned it. A subsequent attempt to display the film under Power’s auspices resulted in the issue of .• summons against the kiiiema proprietors. Therefore, some months ago. Power began a story based on the or' ginal fiction in a weekly newspaper. Gates concludes: “These are the facts I am prepared to swear to them in a Court of Law.”
