THE BISHOP’S VISIT
The'Right Revered Campbell AA’estAYatson and Mrs AVost-AA’atsoii arrived in Hokitika last Saturday evening, having motored through from Otira. The Bishop was most favourably impressed with bis first visit to Hokitika and surrounding districts, the services being well attended throughout. Record congregations welcomed their new Bishop at Kuinara, where a confirmation service was held, also at Ivoiterangi and Aralmru. All Saints’ Church, Hokitika, was crowded for Evensong, and a most impressive service was held. The Bishop, in the course of his address, expressed his appreciation at meeting such a - large congregation to iom in what he termed a beautiful, most impressive, inspiring service. The new Bishop left a very good impression indeed, and his first visit will linger long in the memories of his people. The Bishop and his wife left for the far South on Monday and returns towards the end of the month. The Bishop will take a confimation service in All Saints Church on his return, when over 70 will he presented for confirmation. This should prove one of tlio most inspiring services held in the church for very many years..
