PLANE TRAGEDY. LONDON, .May 2. The miraculous escape of a passenger in a flying accident occurred at King’s Lynn. An aeroplane was making an exhibition flight in a high wind, when it crashed into a cemetery, knocking over several tombstones, and completely wrecking itself. The passenger, All- Barrett, jumped out just before the plane crashed, and lie escaped practically unhurt. The pilot, Captain Bigg-Witiier, was mortally injured. The other occupant George Marl; Lloyd, who had been performing daring feats at a height of two thousand feet, is in a serious condition. SHIPPTNG DISASTER. TOKIO, May 3. One of the rescued members of tbe Chicbihu Mam’s crew died and the other lifteen are- in a critical condition as the result of the hardships endured. A search for the 150 still missing is continued, but it is l>eing sorely hampered by tempestuous weather. The Chichibu Marti is breaking up. A FRENCH .MURDER. TOKIO, Tlay 3. Madame Rognault, wife of the former French Ambassador to Japan, was discovered dead in her flat. The cook, on entering her mistress’s bedroom, found chaos, the furniture being broken and Mndame’s body in tho corridor with a shot in the head. Evidence at the inquest indicated she bad surprised burglars, who thought she was away from home, and was armed with a- revolver which apparently went off and killed her, while the criminals were attempting to wrest it away. The burglars secured a number of jewels. Madame Rignault distinguished herself by her courageousness during the disorders in Fez, where her husband (who was absent from home at the time of the tragedy) was French Minister before the French troops landed.
