SENSATIONAL ROBBERY.
UNDERWRITERS FACED AVfTH RIG LOSS. LONDON. January 21. Continental train robbers made a sensational coup. They opened a specially made trunk, extracted seven hundred thousand sterling worth of Latavian hearer bonds consigned to a London hank. The British and Continental police are endeavouring to trace tlie bonds, giving special atten, tion to the Paris Bourse, but for the present there has been no attempt to sell the bonds, leading to the belief that the thieves, fearing detection, may have destroyed them. Several London underwriters are faced with a. loss of fifty thousand each if the bonds are not recovered.
