WELLINGTON TROTS. WELLINGTON, Jan. 17. The Wellington Trotting Club’s Summer meeting was held on Saturday in beautiful weather. The track was in splendid condition, and there was a large attendance. The totalisatoj- investments were £22,225. Results :—- Novice Handicap.—-Sungleam I, Golden Bubble 2, Beatty 3. Won by a neck. Time 3.31 1-5. Nainni Handicap.—EiUo de Ballin 1, Peter McDonald 2, Grace Grattan 3. Won by a length. Time 3.42 3-5. Summer Handicap.—Arran Chief 1, Biddy Logan 2, Zolock Palm 8. Won easily. Time 3.31 2-5. New Zealand Trotting Cup.—Dolly Dillon I. Countryman 2, Becky Logan 3. Won. bv one mid a half lengths. Time 4.35. j Middle Class Handicap.—Rita Rye 1, Blue Star 2, Stunt Artist 3. Won easily. Time 4.44. Sharpe Handicap.—Huon Grattan 1, Dreamaliou 2, Marvin Mac 3. Won In- ii length. Time 2.16 2-5. Lambton .Handicap,—Grace Grattan 1, EiUo de Ballin 2, Little Johnny 3. Won by six lengths.
