Stuart, Minister of Customs, published figures showing the difference before and after the treaty. The average balance in favour of Australia was £1.522,038 before, hut has dropped to £1.211.925 since. The difference would have been even larger, but that in 1924 £495.814 worth ol goods were imported into New Zealand of lines not effected by the treaty.

Exports from New Zealand to Australia have increased from £1.013,143 to £1,831.611.
