(Contributed.) The past week in the Second Hokitika has proved a specially busy one in so far as the passing of badge tests is concerned. AYm. Diedrich has passed his tests ami enrolled as a Tendormul in the Pack, where, also. ,Second Alec Sul iiei’la ml has c unpioted the work and gained h'is Second Star. In the Scout Troop, Scouts ('. Schroder, J. AA’alker and C. Richardson have all completed and gained their Second Class Badges, while two others have every prospect ol gaining this rank before the end of the week. AA olf Cub Sixer Rodney AloC’arthy has gained the collectors Proficiency Badge for his collect,ion of Foreign Stamps.

In spite of the wet weather again interfering with the Gala lour ol the Well' Cubs who spool Saturday selling flowers and foliage from the troop trek cart for the benefit of the Beautifying Society, seem to have found business (piife brisk. Next Tu.seday, December Bth, the quarterly meeting of parents and friends of the Second Troop and Packwill he held at 8 p.m. After the quarterly reports and other Business has boon disposed of, those present will have all opportunity of hearing the Chief Scout, Sir Robert Baden Rowell on the gramophone, several records ol addresses to parents and others being available. Anyone interested will he welcome at this meeting.
